In the beginner workshops, we spend five hours in one day covering the basics and more, including different types of paper and paints, how to observe when sketching, color mixing and various washes. Materials are included for the day and you get to take home your masterpiece! All you need to bring is an upbeat attitude! Beginner workshops are taught on a Saturday. Cost $70 (class size limited to 8 people).

After your beginner workshop you may be ready to indulge in a 4 week session. We will still go over the basics very quickly, but the idea is to experiment with a particular theme each week, such as wet-on-wet washes, landscapes, painting from photographs, tonal values and so on. Cost $180 (class limited to 8 people).

The 4-weekly sessions are given Sunday mornings or Wednesday evenings. Days are not interchangeable. Each session is 3 hours from 9:30 - 12:30 on Sundays or 6:00 - 9:00 pm on Wednesdays. Sessions begin at the start of each month, so call or email early to reserve a space. Payment required in advance. Gift Certificates for Workshops also available.
